I started Jewel, this 4-year-old Quarter Horse mare at Clinton's ranch in 2022 when I was earning my Colt Starting certification. After the 10-day clinic, she could do all the Fundamentals on the ground and under saddle and was comfortable being ridden over obstacles, in big fields, and beside steers.
Louella was a 2-year old mare who I put about 4 months on. Her owner wanted her to be ridden on the trail, shown in some EXCA shows and also be taught some tricks. She left with a lot more experience and skills: like confidently navigating obstacles, learning how to follow a roping dummy, some liberty and how to lay down.
This pretty little dun was a 2-year-old wild Mustang I broke for the Teens and Oregon Mustangs Auction and Adoption Challenge. He came directly from the Burns HMA through the BLM (so he was extremely wild). We placed 3rd in our trail competition and 4th overall.
