3-Month training program

All horses in this program learn many valuable life skills:

  • How to give to halter pressure and respond to a light ask.
  • How to think through situations and emotionally regulate themselves.
  • How to walk, trot, canter, and steer, while reading your energy in the saddle to maintain, slow, and speed up their feet.
  • Sidepassing, yielding the hindquarters, turn arounds/spins, stopping with their hindquarters, picking up the correct lead, starting lead changes, galloping/coming back to you, etc.
  • How to use his body with lightness and respond to subtle cues.
  • How to stand quietly and confidently with their feet being handled to prepare for shoeing and trimming.
  • How to confidently load and unload in the trailer, as well as get hauled to other places to ride: an indoor arena and wide open fields.
  • How to stand tied quietly; with other horses and by themselves.

The down-low on training

Thoughtful + sweaty sessions

Your horse will be trained 5-6 days a week, which consists of groundwork and riding, plus time working with his feet, grooming, and bathing. As he progresses, I will ride him outside and haul him to another arena.

Bi-Weekly Owner Updates

Every two weeks, I will call and update you on your horse's progress. I will also send you an email that details where your horse is doing well, where he is struggling, and notes on his wellbeing.

Free Private Lesson

When your horse is ready to go home, I will spend a couple hours with you showing off what your horse has learned while he has been in training. I will also spend as long as you want showing you how to do groundwork and how to ride your "new" horse.

Louella - a Success story

I cannot thank Madison enough for all she has done in such a short amount of time!

Madison Feller has truly exceeded my expectations; checking off all the boxes/goals I had hoped my filly would achieve under her training and guidance during her stay! Not only is Madison an incredible colt starter, she can advance you and your horse 10-fold and that she did with me and Louella in four months! She handles trails, obstacles, has successfully shown in some EXCA events and is willingly and quietly hauled wherever your heart desires.

Madison’s communication throughout this journey has been absolutely incredible with consistent and respectful updates. I always knew where Louella stood health wise, physically, mentally and emotionally. If a rest was needed, she was given that. When I would visit, Madison’s guidance and time spent in the saddle with me was fulfilling and I understood everything through observation and her teaching skills. Hands down, I would spend the money again! And if I had more horses, I would absolutely have them in training and under Madison's care. If you have even the slightest thought to book training for your horse with Madison, jump on the opportunity. Get going on a forever journey she will certainly create for you and your horse!
